The Invisible Art Show I
September 1 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Invisible Art Show is a project addressing a variety of emotions that could lead individuals towards a poor state of mental health. The purpose of this project is to allow artists to express those feelings, and hopefully show those who may feel isolated that they are not alone. Most importantly those who might struggle with the extreme end of such feelings that could cause them to believe that their life isn’t worth living.
We invite all artists to participate in any way that is comfortable. Submissions can be anonymous. We encourage providing a description for each piece explaining what it means to you and how it might help you deal with feelings of depression, anxiety, or isolation. We will have time for musical performances and spoken word.
This is an experimental project that could change shape and form over time to meet our specific goals. We will be working with the Psychiatric Wellness Center in Kern to provide support resources. If you or anyone you know needs that support, there are a variety of options.
